I was diagnosed with severe dysthymia, which in short is essentially chronic depression; it means my baseline is sad rather than neutral or upbeat. This is drawing is my expression of what it feels like to grin through the sadness.
Mental health is extremely important and the fight for a happier life meant a lot of grinning through it all. Maybe it wasn't always the healthiest but it helped me find the joy in the cracks in the road that lead me here. With great vulnerability I share these feelings with you.
